Midstream

Introduction to Midstream Course

GPA Midstream is pleased to offer this three-day midstream industry overview course, which uses the GPSA Engineering Data Book as a reference. This course is designed for new employees or those who want to gain general knowledge about the activities and scope of midstream operations. Past attendee disciplines include accountants, schedulers, materials coordinators, sales, marketing, communications, asset administrators, lab techs, transportation, field service, instrumentation/controls, IT, government affairs, EHS, operators, and engineers new to the industry.

The course teaches students the midstream industry basics and what happens at midstream operating facilities. The three-day training explains why we process gas, the roles of a gas plant, and the common plant processes found in facilities. It covers midstream products, equipment typically found at facilities, and the processes that turn natural gas liquids into valuable products. Students will participate in interactive lectures, perform light calculations, and work in teams to design their own gas processing facility. A full list of topics/sessions can be found at the bottom of the webpage.

Registration is open for the July 15-17 session at Williams Companies, Inc. located at One Williams Center, Tulsa, Okla. See below for registration details.
