GPA Midstream was founded in 1921 because the industry needed technical standards. Since then, the association's technical committees have developed and maintained industry standards and reference bulletins, in addition to publishing more than 200 research reports. Technical committees and workgroups are actively engaged year-round to ensure the technical information companies use to make important operating decisions remains accurate.

GPA Midstream wrapped a successful 2024 Technical Conference that brought together a community of professionals dedicated to developing and maintaining the technical standards that are the backbone of the midstream sector.

Held at a waterside four-star Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park, the conference was home to more than 20 committee and workgroup meetings, and presentation of research papers offering practical solutions to common industry challenges from more than two dozen subject matter experts.

The meeting featured networking events including Topgolf, receptions, and a once-in-a-generation solar eclipse viewing break.
