Spring 2026 is shaping into a busy time for GPA Midstream. From governance meetings to education, and our annual Technical Conference, the months ahead are packed with opportunities for professional growth, peer connection, and practical learning. If developing people and strengthening expertise are priorities for you and your organization, this is an ideal time to engage.
Our spring calendar reflects something members consistently tell us they value: relevant, industry-leading training delivered by people who understand the realities of midstream operations. These programs aren’t just theoretical. They’re designed to help midstream professionals at every career stage do their jobs better, safer, and more efficiently.
We kick off Feb. 17-20 in Oklahoma City with the GPA Midstream and GPSA Board session. This session includes meetings of our governing bodies, as well as our advocacy, communications, safety, and program committees, and GPSA’s Membership Committee. This is where “member-driven” becomes reality — where members set priorities, guide our work, and chart the future course of the midstream industry.
In early March, we turn our attention to workforce development with Introduction to Midstream, March 4-6 in Tulsa. Participants gain a better understanding of gathering, processing, fractionation, transportation, and storage — along with the regulatory, commercial, and safety considerations that surround them. It’s ideal for newer employees, professionals transitioning into midstream roles, or anyone who wants a stronger big-picture grasp of how the pieces fit together. Companies consistently tell us this course accelerates onboarding and helps teams communicate more effectively across disciplines.
If you’re thinking about attending, you might want to make a decision quick — the course is nearing sold-out status.
At the end of March, we head to Denver for the GPSA Engineering Data Book Training, March 30 to April 3. The GPSA Engineering Data Book is a foundational resource for midstream engineers, and this course is designed to help participants use it with confidence and precision. During the week-long training, attendees work through real-world examples, deepen their understanding of design and operating principles, and learn how to apply the Data Book to solve practical problems. Whether you’re early in your engineering career or looking to refresh and sharpen your skills, this training delivers immediate, on-the-job value.
We’ll close out the spring with our largest event of the season, the GPA Midstream Technical Conference, April 20-23 in Plano, Texas. This conference brings together technical professionals from across the midstream sector for technical presentations, panel discussions, and networking. All of our technical committees meet and schedule work group sessions during the conference. The conference agenda is built around current operational challenges, emerging technologies, safety, reliability, and efficiency. And most presentations offer the chance for engineers to earn professional development hours.
Taken together, these offerings are an opportunity for GPA Midstream and GPSA members to invest in their people. Staying ahead requires continuous career-long learning — not just for newcomers but for those in their mid-career or even veterans.
I encourage you to look closely at the spring schedule, talk with your teams about which opportunities make sense, and take advantage of what GPA Midstream offers. You can find full details, agendas, and registration information at GPAMidstream.org.
I look forward to seeing many of you this spring as we learn, collaborate, and move the midstream industry forward — together.
And rest assured — if you miss these spring opportunities, we’ll have more workforce development trainings in the summer and fall.
