Jack Burke from CompressorTech2 reports that industry association GPA Midstream said it opposes the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) attempt to remove affirmative defense provisions from emissions standards regulations under the Clean Air Act.
On Jan. 16, 2024 GPA Midstream Association filed comments with the EPA protesting the proposed rule that the group said would take away the oil and gas industry’s ability to protect itself from liability in the case of equipment malfunctions.
