GPA Midstream and GPSA issued the following statement in response to the recent Senate confirmation of David Cummins as Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA):

GPA Midstream and GPSA congratulate David Cummins on his confirmation as Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration. We thank the Senate, Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD), and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) for action on the nomination. We appreciate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) for convening the necessary nomination hearings.

TSA plays a critical role in protecting the nation’s energy systems through its oversight of pipeline security, including physical security and cybersecurity requirements for critical pipeline infrastructure. As TSA continues its work on pipeline security directives and pending rulemakings, we look forward to collaborating with Administrator Cummins and his team to advance security objectives while supporting reliable energy delivery.
